ExpeData, LLC

ExpeData® is the global leader in enterprise digital writing and the first company to build a platform designed to meet the needs of Fortune 100 and Global 2000 companies.  The ExpeData Digital Writing Platform (EDWP) is a complete package with the features and functions needed to implement digital writing.

The EDWP converts the handwriting on paper documents to data in seconds improving the efficiency and speed of information flow from where the data is first captured to its availability in the back end systems. ExpeData offers the most sophisticated handwriting interpretation which allows for highly accurate conversion of handwritten text into electronic data. The EDWP uses standard image and data output formats which makes it compatible with systems across the enterprise and in any industry.
The EDWP enables organizations to:

  • Capture handwritten documents wherever they are written
  • Securely transmit them to the server for processing
  • Interpret handwriting with a high degree of accuracy, turning it into data
  • Verify the system interpretation with highly efficient automated verification tools
  • Convert paper documents into high quality images
  • Make the converted data available to back end systems in industry standard formats
  • Use it as a standalone system, tightly integrate it into an application using an extensive collection of industry standard APIs or run it as an ASP (hosted solution)

The EDWP offers flexible input options, as the digital pens can send the handwritten data through cell phones or PCs. Multiple data and image output options are also provided, ranging from email and secure FTP to a broad range of industry standard APIs which enable tight integration with the organizations’ back end systems.
The EDWP is secure, reliable and scalable. ExpeData adds a level of security to handwriting which does not exist with the use of traditional paper forms. After users write on the form, the handwriting is encrypted and the system can require password verification before the strokes are transmitted to the server for processing. Once the handwriting has been converted to text and the interpretations have been verified, the electronic forms can be sealed to prevent adjustments or modifications. The system is insulated from Internet connectivity problems or server downtime, as the cell phone or PC will retain the handwritten data and continue to re-try the transmission until it successfully arrives at the server. The platform is highly scalable supporting a small workgroup up to thousands of users.
ExpeData offers a wide range of print option; commercial printing, internal print shop and desktop printing.
